As a woman, I like to see other women succeed and demonstrate their strong and good characters in the work they do. I realize that strong and good are subjective judgments but in the piece by Dawn Teo below many of us can see what I mean. Also the quoted material in the title of the piece points to what I mean. If we wait until all dangers are past and we are completely safe before taking action on work that needs doing, well, we'll all be in a vast wasteland littered with conditions that are truly "unfixable." So let us have the strength to hope and work for better times and social progress.
